Congratulations to this year’s winner, Tōtara Hospice in
New Zealand. As the first and only hospice in New Zealand
to provide assisted dying, the staff’s bravery, compassion
and commitment to end-of-life choice stood out to the
selection committee. It is with great admiration that we
recognise their hard work, passion, and dedication.

made exceptional contributions to improving end-of-life care, with a particular focus on VAD and promoting or protecting
end-of-life choices.
